Sketches for a Cinderfella Story

This is a take on twisting a fairytale it's a cinderfella who wants to go to the party.  Theses are sketches from my sketch book and a print comp.  

Found a Lime

Dog in a field

having fun making a print experimenting with atmosphere, texture, and color. I used the mixer brush to nice effect, I think, with the grass.  

Stow Away

This print is was about working with a character again.  I don't have a story for her yet but she definitely looks like a stow away now.  I really like working to create the different textures and the trying for moody light. 

At the Beach

I have a whole series of drawings of this character and her rabbit at the beach.  I like her expression in this one. It's been pointed out the the blue ocean and sky are too powerful.  I'll be going back and playing with their saturation and brightness.
